Sonic Colonic- A Lonely Xenon Molecule

Containment Theory Records

I’ve had this cd ready for review for a very long time. The thing is, I really really like it. I just never know what to write. This cd is really funny.

Sonic Colonic is “Eli Dickmeister, Charlie Colonic, Noah Nothing, and anyone else who was at the small red cabin on the third weekend in April” (from their myspace). The songs range from  the hilarious and upbeat “Tiny Hitlers” ( A song about torturing Hitler because no one would care, which some of you may know from my Myspace page) and “Xenon” (ode to an often forgotten molecule) to slow and sad love ballads like “Seattle Song” and “Don’t Leave me Here”.  For the most part, the songs are fun and silly. There  are 21 tracks on this cd, and  there are only about 4 songs that I  don’t  really like. So, that’s not too bad.

My favorite tracks on this cd are “Postmodern Hunter Gatherer” which is about wanting to live in nature with dogs and half naked girls, “You suck at Boats”, a song about… sucking at boats, “Guess What Plants… You Just Got Served”, and I also think “Sychronized Firefly” is a really pretty song.

You can check out Sonic Colonic on Myspace! You can listen to four of the tracks from the cd on that site, and you can contact them about buying their cd!!!
