Hi. My name is Andy.

In 2006 (or somewhere around there), two of my friends and I decided to create a website all about Cleveland. We wanted it to be sort of the one-stop-shop for all things Cleveland. At the time we were big fans of this city and wanted to show people why it was so awesome. That’s when MyFriendCleveland was created.

For a short while we kept it going pretty well. Matt, one of the founders, wrote some really good and funny posts a while back (which I’m sure you can find if you search deep enough). We had a message board that quickly rose to being one of the city’s most popular. At least I think it was.

But then we all got bored. Matt eventually moved back to his home town of Philly, and since he was pretty much the main contributor, the site fell apart for a few years. Basically just turned into a domain name with no content. I tried a few times to get it moving again but inevitably failed each time.

So I’m trying again to get it moving, but I’m changing the scope. This isn’t going to be your one-stop-shop for all things Cleveland. There is a lot going on in this city (despite the rumors), and I’m most likely going to miss most of it. But I love this city. I’ve thought about, and tried, leaving multiple times. It never works. I always stay. Because I love it here. So this site is going to be about why I love it here. It’s going to be about my adventures here, and what makes it so awesome through my experiences. Will anyone care about my good and bad times here? I’m not sure. But I’ll share them anyways.

I’m not much of a web designer so the site might look crazy, or constantly be going through changes. I’m trying to make something that is visually appealing but also serves the purposes I need. I believe I currently have found a layout I really like. Their will be six “featured” articles at any given time. They’ll be at the top of the page, with pictures and a scroll bar underneath to see all 6. Underneath that will be the rest of the articles. Still awesome, probably. Just not feature worthy. Or possible just old features that got bumped.
