Nightmares, Masks, and Um…

Dude, your last name totally means “cowardly.”

“I’ve always felt that horror films are a mirror, and that mirror reflects what’s happening in society,” Cleveland’s own Wes Craven recently proclaimed. Am I the only one who totally forgot about that time that dude in a striped shirt killed all those Parma teenagers in their sleep? They’re  a mirror alright.

Slipknot’s Sloppy Seconds

What does it say about Cleveland’s music scene when masked metal act Mushroomhead are given an icon award? I wish it meant the Scene put out an April Fool’s issue in July, but alas.

So this is news?

Do I even need to make a joke? The dude honestly wrote an article on going to get his license renewed and someone published it.

Spider-man, Pepper-spray, and Communists

Cleveland fanboys and comic nerds have reason to be sporting a hard on today.

Some of the footage filmed in Cleveland for Spider-Man 3 can be seen in the film’s new trailer. The Plain Dealer reports, “There’s a quick flash showing the villain Sandman bursting out of the Halle Building.” No word however on whether or not the Peter Parker and Lebron game of Horse made it into the film.

Here’s a tip:

Don’t drive at night in North Ridgeville unless you are prepared to take an entire can of pepper spray to the face.

The Fine Art of Timeliness.

Apparently major radio play, exposure on MTV, and a few cover stories in Alternative Press just weren’t enough for people to find out about Panic at the Disco! Thank goodness for The Free Times.

Watch out commies, you’re next.

Remember that super fun bill called the Patriot Act? You know, the one that lets the government keep track of how many pre-teen girls have checked Anne of Green Gables out of the library in the past six months? Yeah, it’s back, Ohio style.
